Melissa La Venia Joins Moore Doeren Mayhew

 
Moore Doeren Mayhew is excited to announce Melissa La Venia has joined its London office as a U.S. Tax Director. She will lead the gift and estate planning tax planning services, serving clients across Europe. She will focus on U.S. tax law as applied in an international setting to high-net-worth individuals, foreign trusts and estates, and privately held foreign corporations.

Melissa brings over 10 years of experience in providing U.S. federal and state tax planning and compliance services to companies and high-net-worth individuals. Fully bilingual, in English and French, she often speaks at conferences and events on cross-border tax planning for private clients.

Prior to joining the firm, she gained experience working for Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton in Canada on the high-net-worth advisory practice for the U.S. tax practice. Additionally, she spent time as an Adjunct Professor at the Université de Sherbrooke, teaching U.S. Tax for the Masters of Tax program.
Melissa earned her Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a Foreign Legal Consultant at Barreau du Quebec.

Davina Stephens Joins Moore DM


Moore DM, also known as Moore Doeren Mayhew, is excited to announce Davina Stephens has joined its London office as a Senior Manager, where she will be responsible for assisting clients with planning and reporting matters associated with meeting their U.S. federal and state income tax obligations.

davina-stephens-web-(1).jpgDavina brings nearly 10 years of experience in providing U.S. federal and state tax planning and compliance services to companies, internationally mobile employees, and high-net-worth individuals. She specializes in assisting wealthy individuals deal with cross-border issues concerning controlled foreign corporations and passive foreign investment companies, as well as U.S. estate tax issues.

Prior to joining the firm, she gained experience working at PWC in both the U.K. and Australia as a member of its Private Clients Services practice serving high-net-worth individuals in the Asia Pacific and European regions.

Davina earned a BSc in Finance and Accountancy from the University of Warwick. She is ACA exam qualified and a member of the Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales.

Moore Doeren Mayhew Elects Linda Pelczarski as Director

 
TROY, MICH. –  Jan. 4, 2022 – Moore Doeren Mayhew, an international CPA and advisory firm, is excited to announce that Linda Pelczarski, CPA, has been elected as Director, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

Pelczarski has over 20 years of tax and accounting experience. Since joining the firm in 2007, her focus has been assisting foreign-owned businesses with operations in the United States, as well as U.S. companies with outbound business activities. Pelczarski works closely with businesses to help define and maintain their financial organizational goals, while providing U.S. tax planning and compliance, multi-state nexus guidance and customized accounting solutions. In addition to being a certified public accountant in the State of Michigan, she holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Walsh College.
